When you start a new site never say, "I will add that function when we get bigger". This pertains to data acquisition, email newsletters (we use Skylist), refer a friend and all the things that are a pain in the a-s to manage and seem not worth it when small.

Yes it is frustrating sending a weekly newsletter to 500 people but you need to do it.

Site maps are important and will get you spidered early in search engines. We have offered 15 products or so on Yugster and we have a site map since the beginning.

You need to sweat the details when you are small even if some seem like a waste of time.
